What’s all this about RSS 2.0 ?
RSS 2.0 allows a bit of HTML to be included in a feed item, so the feed can include a thumbnail etc., etc. You can further enhance your Facebook Fan Page posts by hacking your rss feed template, or maybe using a plugin, to add a thumbnail for each post.
Note: this is something else I couldn’t find an answer for, so I hacked the template. More on that later!
Hey, its not working.
If you go to your Facebook Fan page at this point it will look like the feed isn’t working (except in the preview) but there’s two reasons why:
- RSS Graffiti gets news from your feed every 30 minutes. You’ll have to wait until it pulls in your most recent posts.
- It will only display posts that are newer than the last time it went out to get news, so old posts won’t show.
You’ll have to post to WordPress then wait for RSS Graffiti to come by and get the new news as it goes about its rounds.

Take a look at my Facebook Fan Page and become a fan. You’ll get a feeling for how yours might look. I’ve added a link to the page thumbnail so it will show along with the post excerpt, which will be the subject of another post.
